Allen L. Thunberg, Ph.D. - Vice President-Development. Dr. Thunberg is responsible for all aspects of drug development and regulatory affairs at ProCertus. Prior to joining the company in 2005, he served as a consultant and scientific advisor to ProCertus. Dr. Thunberg received his Ph.D. in Immunology from The Rockefeller University in 1974. Following postdoctoral fellowships at The Rockefeller University and at Johns Hopkins, he joined the Eastman Kodak Company where he worked in various research positions. When Kodak acquired Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals in 1988, he assumed the position of Director of Immunology. In 1996, Dr. Thunberg was named Vice President - Pre-Clinical Development at Anthra Pharmaceuticals, a pre-IPO biotechnology company focused on the development of oncology products. At Anthra, he was responsible for the discovery-to-development transition, pharmacology, human pharmacokinetics, CMC, and manufacturing. After leaving Anthra in 2002, he became Principal of Thunberg Consulting, Inc., a Tampa-based consulting firm focused on pharmaceutical development. He has been responsible for numerous regulatory filings, including INDs and NDAs, and possesses significant experience with the development of oncology products, including the anthracycline, Valstar, and the bisphosphonate, Bonefos.
